Special Getaways in the Berkshires

Fall 2008

Stockbridge, Mass. & North Adams, MA – As we welcome fall, The Porches Inn at MASS MoCA is offering a getaway deal over the next few months to travelers who are seeking R-n-R to celebrate a new season. Central to all cultural attractions and located in the midst of an outdoor lover’s paradise, the property is recommended by National Geographic Traveler, The New York Times and The Boston Globe. Porches is conveniently located on the campus of the internationally renowned MASS MoCA (the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), the largest contemporary art center in the US.

Take to the skies and see the beauty of the Berkshires from above with the Fly Into Fall special!  A 25-minute flight for two will take you over Williams College, Williamstown, North Adams, and Mount Greylock, the tallest in Massachusetts.  After your flight, ground yourself with a leisurely stroll among the paintings in the Clark Art Institute. Available during October and November from Sunday – Thursday, this package is priced from $250 for two including tax and gratuities. Note:  As weather conditions can change suddenly, the flight depends on a day with no fog.  If foggy conditions are present, the flight will be cancelled and the package price will be reduced accordingly.

In addition, Porches offers seasonal packages and monthly specials throughout the year; information is available at www.porches.com.

The Porches Inn employs a clever synthesis of retro and contemporary design, with six Victorian row houses turned out in appealing shades of marigold, blue, salmon and sage. The property includes 47 fully wired rooms and suites, offering free WiFi, dual phone lines and complimentary DVDs, as well as a year-round outdoor pool, hot tub, bonfire pit, sauna and meeting rooms for special events and retreats.
