Learn about the repurposing and renovation of the former millworker houses that comprise The Porches Inn with the Architecture “Lecture” package. Take an audio tour of the property “led” by architect Ann McCallum and hotelier Nancy Fitzpatrick as they describe their inspirations for the unique design of Porches. This package also includes a copy of the book about Porches: Porches: Art and Renewal on River Street, overnight accommodations and breakfast. From $220, inclusive, Sunday – Thursday.

Guests join in the global cybersport called Geocaching with The Porches Inn’s Geocaching Escape. Armed with a global positioning satellite device (GPS), a collection of cache coordinates that you find on line and a boxed lunch, package guests will take off through the hills and woods searching for hidden stashes left by other participants of this hi-tech sport – think of it as a scavenger hunt for adults. This package features overnight accommodations, boxed lunch for two, our hearty and healthy continental, and instruction in and use of a GPS device for the day The package is priced from $229 Sunday – Thursday.

The MASS MoCA package features tickets to the internationally acclaimed Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art where you will see the breathtaking Sol LeWitt Wall Drawings retrospective, The package includes breakfast, dinner for two at a nearby restaurant, and overnight accommodations. The package is priced at $295 and is available Sunday through Thursday.

Just a 10-minute drive from The Porches Inn is the “Williamstown Theatre Festival,” hailed by Newsweek as “the best of all American summer theaters.” This world-class festival has featured such well-known actors as Gwyneth Paltrow, Blythe Danner, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. The Porches Inn’s Williamstown Theatre Package includes two tickets with preferred seating, breakfast and overnight accommodations. Available from Sunday through Thursday (July 1—August 23), the package is priced from $289. Opening night performances are not available.

For the ultimate in pampering, indulge in the Blissed Out Package. Featuring a total of four spa services (2 per person) at the nearby In Touch Spa and lunch for two overlooking the Green River. this relaxing retreat also includes overnight accommodations and our healthy continental breakfast at The Porches Inn. The package is priced from $520 for two people from Sunday-Thursday..

The Weekend Romp is a two-night package with all of the essentials for a jolly good time: dinner one evening, daily breakfast, two one-hour in-room massages and a welcome gift from The Porches Inn. The package is priced from $675 any day of the week.

For those who wish to snuggle with their sweetie while watching avant garde flicks, the Date Night package is perfect. Guests enjoy a delicious dinner for two at one of our like-minded restaurants then head off to Images Cinema in Williamstown, the local hotspot for independent films. A half bottle of Veuve Cliquot is delivered to the room for a post-cinema night cap. The Date Night package also includes overnight accommodations and Porches Continental breakfast from $329 Sunday through Thursday.

Spend two days practicing yoga at the nearby Frog Lotus Studio and one night in our fabulous digs with the Dharma Days Package. This package aims to rejuvenate your body and soul and includes a total of 4 yoga classes per package (2 per person or however you’d like to divvy them up!) along with our healthful Continental breakfast each morning. Available Sunday – Thursday from $240.

With the exception of the Weekend Romp, packages are available Sunday through Thursday through November 12, 2009 (some restricted dates may apply), However, Porches’ staff is available to help coordinate a weekend visit that could include tickets to a museum or theater, spa services, yoga classes and more; reservations staff will also try to accommodate guests interested in booking one of Porches’ packages on a weekend night. In addition, guests may add a consecutive midweek night’s stay to a package for just $109 plus taxes. Porches’ packages are priced for two and include all taxes and gratuities; guests may upgrade any of these packages to a suite for an additional $60 per night. Single pricing is also available.
