Our fresh, healthful Continental buffet breakfast is included in your room rate, so head on over to our sunny Breakfast Room and dig in! The buffet features an assortment of locally-sourced goodies, from croissants and fresh whole grain breads to cheese, hardboiled eggs, locally-made granola, fresh fruit and more. If you prefer to enjoy a steaming pot of French Roast coffee and a croissant in the comfort of your bed, just fill out the breakfast card provided in your room and leave it on your guestroom door before you turn in… we’ll deliver it in one of our signature Porches lunchboxes.
We have our own swanky little bar here at Porches – pop into our Living Room located in the Reception Building and you’ll find a blazing fireplace, comfortable (but stylin’) chairs and plenty of good conversation with your friends and other Porches guests. We provide reading materials if you prefer to lose yourself in a book with a glass of brandy instead of chatting it up.
Bring the kids!
Our guestrooms are spacious, but consider a suite when you bring your family so you get some space all to yourself. Please let us know if you need an extra cot or a crib for your little ones. Kids love Porches’ year-round heated outdoor pool and our woodland gazebo (makes a great “fort”) and we’re located right next to a beautiful playground, so there are plenty of opportunities for fun right in our backyard. MASS MoCA’s Kidspace is a popular and engaging place to spend some time and there are many outdoor recreational opportunities in the area as well – from hiking Mount Greylock and Natural Bridge State Park to biking along the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail.
Well-trained and quiet pets are welcome at The Porches Inn in selected guestrooms and suites. A $40.00 per reservation charge will be added to your bill, and guests are responsible for any damage that may occur during their pet's visit.
Please keep your dog on a leash.
Please do not let your dog loose outside of your room. This is for your pet's protection and for ours. Pets are not allowed in the following areas of the hotel: exercise room, Building 7, pool, and reception building where food and drink are served. This exclusion does not apply to guide dogs. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet on hotel property and in the neighborhood.
Areas designated for animal breaks.
When it is time for your animal to take a walk, we ask that you use the park across the street or park located next to the Red Building. Please curb your dog.
Pets are not to be left unattended in the rooms all day.
If you are going to be gone all day (skiing, hiking, biking, etc.) we prefer you take your pets with you or to a nearby kennel.
When you leave your room.
Pets must be crated when your room is unattended. Housekeeping will not attempt to enter or clean your room if the pet has not been secured in a crate. Crates are available (large and small) from our housekeeping department, at no additional charge.
Please be considerate of your neighbors. We ask that your pets do the same. Any disturbances, such as barking, must be curtailed to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced. Unattended pets who disturb others will be relocated to a nearby, qualified kennel, at your cost.
When registering at the front desk, the pet owner agrees to the hotel's pet policies, to be responsible for any damage or injury caused by the pet, and to absolve the hotel staff of any liability if the pet or another guest is injured. Please ask your pet to be considerate of our antiques and not allow them up on the furniture.
Please note that all future pet policy will be based, in part, on how your pet behaves and the condition in which you leave your room. Thank you for your understanding.
