On Top of Mt. Greylock

Whether you hike or drive to the top of Mount Greylock, a fantastic culinary experience awaits… The folks at nearby Bascom Lodge serve three meals a day and a host variety of events at this rustic stone and wood Lodge that was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s. On June 2 at 6PM, enjoy a night of Celtic Music as Rakish Paddy performs foot stomping, heart throbbing Celtic style music; the performance is followed by a prix fixe meal  ($25, tax and tip not included. Reservations required for dinner. ). On Tuesdays, June 8, 15, 22 & 29, 5:00 – 6:30PM, students and experienced sketchers alike are invited to enjoy the highland evening beauty found at the summit of  Mount Greylock, taught by artist Karen Arp-Sandel (who was commissioned to produce a collage in one of The Red Lion Inn’s guestrooms). Watch for events all summer long at Bascom Lodge – just a short drive from Porches.
