Did you catch the 12/23 cover story in The Boston Globe’s G magazine about holiday food by Chef Brian Alberg at our sister property, The Red Lion Inn? Check this link out and read all about it. It’s a totally accurate portrait of the man who feeds the masses at The Red Lion Inn – who’s done a few gigs at Porches too. There are a few recipes, too.
If you’d like to try truly locally-grown cuisine but can’t get out of New York City, head to the James Beard Foundation on February 4th for “The Whole Berkshire Hog.” Feast on courses by six of the most interesting chefs working in the Berkshires, paired with wines by Red Lion Sommelier Dan Thomas. Here’s the link for more info and to make a reservation…

It’s official! The dates for the 2011 Solid Sound Festival are June 24-26 at MASS MoCA! We wish we could tell you otherwise, but we are already sold out. Should there be any cancellations, we will make an announcement in an email blast as the dates get closer, but we’re not betting on it. There is currently some availability at our “sister” property, The Red Lion Inn. Check out this link at our local visitors’ bureau for lodging opportunities. Click here for the link to our local campground and click here for a map of nearby state campgrounds.
Thanks to Jeff Tweedy and the gang for bringing this amazing festival back to the Berkshires!
