Get Your Irish On

Bascom Lodge sits atop Mount Greylock – the lodge re-opened last year and offers great dinners and events. This Sunday, check out Rakish Paddy… The self-described “Irish-CeltGrass-GypsyJazz-FolkRock kinda thing (take a listen here!)” – sounds like a raucous time not to be missed!  The September 26th concert takes place on the lawn from 5-6PM (rain brings the concert indoors), followed by a prix fixe dinner at 7PM (Reservations required for dinner: please call 413-743-1591). This concert is free and open to all – the foliage is definitely turning, so get there early for a jaunt in the woods and soak up the spectacular views!

Gravity, I Reckon

Architecture, science fiction, art… All wrapped up in one crazy piece at MASS MoCA: Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle’s project Gravity Is a Force to be Reckoned With. Gravity exists as both a physical force and a feeling of solemnity. In Manglano-Ovalle’s project, the physics and emotion of it collide, resulting in an upheaval that turns both upside down. Come see this amazing work before it closes at the end of next month!
